2019-2020 Family Programs

OSRUI offers an array of opportunities to visit camp during the off season, from one-day programs (“Camp Days”) to weekend retreats.  A tour of camp is offered during each event for those who would like one.

Push yourself to new heights on our 55-foot Alpine Tower!

October 18-20 – Fall Family Camp
Thinking about OSRUI for the first time?  Or just can’t wait for next summer?  Get a taste of what OSRUI has to offer.  Programming is geared toward families with children age 5-12.

Saturday, 11/2 – Sing Your Heart Out!
Join us for a Shabbat at camp and sing along with some of the biggest names in Jewish music.

November 15-17 – Mother & Daughter Kallah
OSRUI’s Associate Director Susan Alexander will be your guide as you enjoy time away with your special girls.  For mothers, grandmothers, aunts and the girls they love ages 5 and up.


Monday, 2/17 – Get Sporty
Spend Presidents’ Day enjoying a variety of indoor sports, including basketball, ping-pong, floor hockey, and gaga!

March 13-15 – Spring Family Camp
It’s never too early to start making camp memories!  The weekend will include special PJ Library programming for families with children 6 and under as well as programming for all families with kids 12 and under.  Spring Family Camp is in partnership with PJ Library Chicago, a program of JUF.

Saturday, 5/16 – “Back to Camp” Open House: Celebrate Shabbat at OSRUI
Shabbat is the best day of the week and campers are so excited for it during the summer.  Get a taste of what they experience.
